The LiLi is Here!

A Revolutionary Development for Artisan Dairy Food Producers

The Bob-White Systems LiLi is poised to transform what dairy food producers are capable of creating and selling. The Low Input – Low Impact (LiLi) system allows dairy food producers of all sizes to offer safe and delicious, farm-fresh milk as well as various dairy products to their customers.

The LiLi completely pasteurizes without homogenizing, separating or standardizing milk, maintaining its nutritional value and deliciously fresh flavor.

The Bob-White Systems LiLi is compact and easy to use. The LiLi pasteurization system requires five hookups—240 VAC input, a standard 120 Volt 20 amp circuit, water, raw milk input, and a drain. The semi-automated cleaning provision makes the full system preparation and cleaning incredibly easy, saving you valuable time.

Here’s a question that we get asked a lot: Why Milk Pasteurization–and why the LiLi Pasteurizer?

Bob-White Systems Founder Steve Judge explains in his latest blog entry:

“My goal with the LiLi was to expand the opportunity for Micro Dairy farmers to produce and sell fresh milk and other farm fresh dairy products locally. I believed and still believe that the minimal damage done to milk by properly-done HTST pasteurization is a worthwhile compromise if it also expands the availability of locally produced farm fresh milk.” Read more.

Here is more information about the LiLi Pasteurizer as well as the wide-range of products that work hand-in-hand with the LiLi.

We have spent the past two weeks getting to know the LiLi—running tests, poking, prodding and tinkering with all of the LiLi’s many buttons, coils and sensors—to work out all of the kinks and get her running smooth as freshly-drawn milk. This has us thinking a lot about why we embarked on this journey in the first place. In other words, did the world really need a low input-low impact pasteurizer? We think: yes. And no one other than Bob-White Systems’ founder Steve Judge can explain why. Here is a snippet from his most recent blog—and his impassioned reason for why we need the LiLi now. Among the LiLi’s many benefits, it ships to you fully assembled.

“It’s a simple fact that the commercial model for producing milk in this country—with a dairy industry that continues to consolidate and dairy farms that continue to expand and move to parts of the country where land, labor and feed are cheapest—is, simply, broken. What we need is a new economic model that focuses on the local production of safe and delicious farm fresh milk. Personally, I believe that the Micro Dairy model is the very fix we need—a new model for milk production.

My goal with the LiLi was to expand the opportunity for Micro Dairy farmers to produce and sell fresh milk and other farm fresh dairy products locally. I believe that the minimal damage done to milk by properly-done HTST pasteurization is a worthwhile compromise if it also expands the availability of locally produced farm fresh milk. The LiLi takes HTST pasteurization technology and scales and slows down the pasteurization process. Why is this beneficial? It means better milk produced on a sustainable scale.”
